Sterilizer Aquarium Fish

Does a reverse osmosis run constant in a marine aquarium ?
i am going to setup a fish/coral tank. One question is does the RO run constant? and the other is does the water run into the external pump then out of that, then into the UV sterilizer then into the protein skimmer then into the RO then back into the tank or is this sequence wrong i.e should it be pump > skimmer > UV > RO or maybe pump > RO > skimmer > UV
hope this makes sense because im just getting to grips with the salt water world as mush info and opinions would be very appreciated
when water comes out of a RO unit it does not have salt so should not be any where near a marine tank until it have been aerated for 24 hour because during the proses the RO will deplete oxygen levels in the water plus you need to add marine grade salt.
so do not connect the RO Straight to the tank in any shape or form it is connected to the main water inlet to the house/tapes.
hope this helps
